Die sieben Wilden

Spring can be felt in the plains. Nevertheless we are heading for some last snow pleasure. And boy, we did well!

Amazing weather in the morning, a fine coat of fresh snow every afternoon, powder snow everywhere, cold enough temperatures to maintain a light and virgin snow for our descents

This is under these circumstances that we decided to head to the Berner Oberland as our original destination, the Lämmererhütte above Leuk was off limits because the employees of the gondola just catched the dreaded Covid. We stayed for two days at the Wildhornhütte before going back to the valley for one (cold!) van night and going up again to the Geltenhütte.

With the experience we will simply go to the next hut by the “high way” instead of through the valley. This is too much of a heartbreaker to leave our precious mountains, even for one day.

The whole adventure has been summarized by these simple and beautiful images

And I would like to share a nice video of the same week from my friend Alex Walig. Nice shots of our team descending at once in virgin and pristine snow!
